Anita Strachan

Doctor in traditional Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist

Before immigrating from England, I attained a degree in Physics, and pursued a career in Radiological Imaging Sciences, specializing in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Biology. I continued to work and study in western medicine for many years until my love of yoga and eastern philosophy steered to me towards Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

After being healed through TCM and acupuncture, I made the final decision to retire from my long-time profession in Nuclear Medicine. I began studying to become a TCM practitioner and acupuncturist, eager to pass on my knowledge of the medicine's great healing power.

I have now been practicing in St. Albert and Edmonton, Alberta, for many years, studying and working alongside a variety of great practitioners, allowing me to build a unique knowledge base on the different techniques available in this vast and fascinating holistic way of healing.

I help clients with symptoms such as Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Infertility, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and smoking addictions, as well as those with serious injuries obtained through sport or motor vehicle accidents. I find this amazing practice extremely beneficial, and use TCM to guide individuals back to health, balance, and bring homeostasis to their bodies and minds, with nutritional advice and maintenance.
